@huzary1092 others? no offence to those who just go with the flow, this is probably just some AI algorithm trying to make sure youtube is still the only popular platform. as to Poland opposing the EU expanding it''s authority.... I am from originally from Poland, and I absolutely hate what they did with it over the past 20 yrs, I think this system is designed only with elites in mind and everyone who doesn't agree to passively accept the misery of having nothing to say, is pushed out. on the other hand I am not a great fan of centralized power, I don't want EU to rule over every other government, I don't want the EU army to be created, EU cannot go unchecked EU in my opinion should be a team effort, and team does not mean that everyone has to be the same and do the same thing. Everyone should do the best to contribute. I think Polish laws should be changed by Pols, not by the EU. Problem is that Pols are stuck in the post soviet loop.

@huzary1092 I remember the end of socialism, and life was just fine, unless you had too much to say. We used to have much more time. Than in the 90' system was hijacked from the inside, and it collapsed. I don't say it wasn't good. What followed is 10 years of theft and misery followed by 10 years of relative development, and if you than didn't screw enough people you are nobody now. We are back to square 1 and there is no time, heads had changed but what didn't change is how people operate and what they are most likely to buy into. I don't think it would make any difference if some other set of puppets was in charge. They are expected to perform certain steps, otherwise they would loose credibility. Until people in PL are ready to buy it, it will be delivered to them. They need to understand that freedom is not free, and it isn't always the safest place to be.

@huzary1092 to assume you have seen it all yourself.... well how to call it...never mind...If you don't know about smthn you don't miss it. We had other things to do. Maybe from outside it seamed like we had nothing. I don't defend the old system, if people didn't like it, it was up to them to change it. Just like it is now, but the people seam like it. My father is very happy with the state of things and says that there is something wrong with me when I say I can't live there.

@huzary1092 Good and bad is assessed by a subjective measure. Some people, especially dictators, will claim that their measure is the only true objective one which is good for everyone, and who doesn't like it can go f.... In early 2000 Poland was behind the west in many aspects, no question about that. The only thing is, that I don't buy the theory, that all that "Development" is good for everyone. Maybe for elites, sure. I hate what this so called development did to my city, region and the country, but this is a fault of my fellows countrymen, not just some party that is in charge for a couple of years. I am not talking about past 20 yrs, I talk about past century. While because of urbanization and industrialization every single water way in my region was so poisoned that no llife existed there for decades, In Stockholm every year they organize trout fishing contest on a canal that flows next to a railway, a motorway and few other main roads, in the heart of the city. I know because I spent a year in Sweden, as an unemployed, looking for job. In the meantime I hang out with local Politicians, attended city hall assemblies and even enjoyed a dinner with some government officials at the parliament. Later I came back to Poland and tried to be active in my local district. No one will take you serious as a citizen. If you don't show up with a bunch of bullies, they will unceremoniously ignore you, even if you brought golden ideas. They cannot undergo development without destroying the nature, They cannot go through privatization without robbing the entire nation of how little they had build under socialism, they cannot go through a democratic process without taking people's liberties and excluding minorities from it. PIS is just another scapegoat, and it is nasty and needs to be thrown down the cliff, but I think problem is somewhere else, and I can't put my finger on it.

@huzary1092 hehe, for the same reasons I opted out from PL, you are getting married to my ex ;) I moved to Cyprus exactly because we have here muslims, blacks, browns, gays, you name it, and yet not much of a terrorist threat, or prides (well maybe if we don't mention Turkish imperialism) People here seam to go on despite differences and no one is too much "in your face" No one is forcing you to copy and implement single approved mindset and they don't make your life hell if you don't. People are more laid back and there is not much to raise hell about. You can't write songs about hardship when you are just doing great. I miss Sweden sometimes thou. Not all countries have to be the same Cheers.
