That's great to hear that you're interested in exploring H-engines and prefer them over EV-lithium batteries! The shift towards hydrogen-powered vehicles, especially in SUVs, offers an exciting alternative in the automotive industry. The collaboration between Honda and General Motors brings together their expertise to further develop hydrogen technology and potentially revolutionize the industry. We will discuss this collaboration in detail in our next video! As you rightly mentioned, the availability of a well-established hydrogen refueling infrastructure is crucial for the widespread adoption of hydrogen vehicles. It's an important aspect that manufacturers and governments need to work on to support the growth of this technology.

Thanks for your feedback! While electric vehicles have gained traction globally, Honda's exploration of hydrogen fuel cell technology doesn't mean they have failed or are too far behind. The choice between EVs and hydrogen vehicles depends on infrastructure and individual needs. Both technologies contribute to sustainability.

It is important to note that predicting the future financial state of entire industries or companies can be speculative and uncertain. Japanese car companies have a long history of innovation, adaptability, and global market presence. While the automotive industry is undergoing significant transformations, including the shift towards electric and alternative fuel vehicles, it is premature to make sweeping predictions about the bankruptcy of Japanese car companies. These companies continue to invest in research, development, and strategic partnerships to navigate the evolving industry landscape and meet changing consumer demands.

While it's true that hydrogen fueling infrastructure is currently limited, advancements are being made to expand it. As the technology evolves, efforts are underway to improve the range and capacity of hydrogen tanks, enabling more charges per fill. Additionally, the development of hydrogen infrastructure, including more refueling stations, is a focus for promoting wider adoption. While BEVs have made significant progress, it's worth acknowledging that different technologies have their own advantages and considerations. Tesla and BYD have indeed been at the forefront of the electric vehicle market, but it's important to recognize that both hydrogen and electric vehicles contribute to sustainable transportation solutions.

While it's true that the production of hydrogen typically involves energy conversion, technological advancements are reducing the energy requirements. For instance, a Dutch student recently achieved a remarkable feat by developing a hydrogen production method that requires significantly less energy. Their innovative approach demonstrates that progress is being made to improve the energy efficiency of hydrogen production, making it a more viable and sustainable option for the future. It's essential to consider ongoing research and development efforts that aim to enhance the efficiency of hydrogen production processes.

When transitioning from steam engines to gasoline engines, there were undoubtedly concerns and skepticism. However, advancements in technology, safety measures, and industry standards have significantly minimized the risks associated with gasoline engines. Similarly, with hydrogen technology, rigorous safety protocols and engineering standards are in place to ensure the safe handling and storage of hydrogen. As with any emerging technology, continuous improvements and safety precautions are key priorities to address potential risks and build confidence in its adoption.

You raise a valid concern about the efficiency of using electricity to produce hydrogen for fuel cell vehicles. While there is an energy loss in the conversion process, hydrogen-powered vehicles offer unique advantages such as long-range capabilities, quick refueling, and the potential for renewable energy integration. The choice between hydrogen and electric vehicles depends on various factors.

@zwieseler It's true that the current infrastructure for hydrogen refueling is limited, with only a few stations available in Australia and planned rollouts in California. This can pose challenges in terms of accessibility and convenience for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. On the other hand, electric vehicles offer the advantage of home charging, allowing users to conveniently charge their vehicles overnight while they go about their daily routines. This can eliminate the need for frequent visits to public charging stations, making EVs more practical for many people's daily commuting needs. It's important to consider the specific requirements and preferences of individual drivers when assessing the suitability of different vehicle technologies. Both hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and EVs have their strengths and limitations, and the choice between them depends on factors such as infrastructure availability, range requirements, and personal charging preferences. As technology continues to advance and infrastructure improves, we can expect to see further developments in both hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and EVs, offering consumers more options for sustainable transportation.

While it's true that the support and adoption of hydrogen technology by major automotive markets like China and the USA are crucial for its widespread success, it doesn't mean that Japanese automotive companies are desperately grasping at straws. These companies have a history of innovation and adapting to changing market demands. Collaborations and partnerships across borders can help drive the development and adoption of hydrogen technology, enabling its potential to be realized globally.

Technology can solve any problem. If you are afraid of explosion, my advice to you is to visit Uzbekistan and you will find that cars running on gasoline have been converted to run on methane/propane gas with very high safety technologies. If some technology that everyone needs is not being developed, know that some big monopolies are preventing it.

That would be cool!
