Then tell me, after all the billions invested in the aboriginal community, why do we still have so much suffering, as if they are living in a 3rd world? You've had the tools and dollars to bring lasting change for decades, yet you've failed - this would just continue their failure, because your past shows you neither have the will or desire to solve their problems. You have an alterior motive you are not forthcoming with.

@shaneburville4495 Giving yourself away I see. Then maybe you can answer to my statement, instead of dealing in petty, vacuous insults which does nothing to enlighten people on the situation. The ALP is scraping the bottom of the barrel with you.

@Prognosis__ Agreed. I'd extrapolate that though to include ALL government spending, with the results presented to the public.

I've actually heard that the Australian aboriginals are genetically related to the East Indians, so technically speaking, you'd be more accurate to relate your cause to their plight, not that of the black Africans. In any case, race is being used as the bait to get peopel to vote 'YES', but with the motive of undermining the sovereignty of the aboriginal people, and thus imperil the whole country, for black and white and every colour and race inbetween.

@shaneburville4495 OK. Perhaps you should listen to what David Cole, and aboriginal social worker has to say about the plight of aboriginals in NT. He's at the coal face of their suffering. Perhaps you can speak to the incest and venereal disease of the babies, and the incidence of diabetes and tell me how the voice will change these deeply seated and entrenched evils. I'm not interested in the emotional arguments that people like yourself indulge in, but the facts.

And change it for another colonialsim - this time the international miners who are rubbing their hands with glee at getting hold of unfettered access to mineral deposits. You think it's good to be owned by miners? You're a joke.
