  7. I've been cancelled as well over the past six or so years. This is despite my award-winning work in production over the past 30+ years. Obviously, I'm like John Snow: I know nothing. But KK and LH know *EVERYTHING*. I'm a hater, a male, and I'm not wealthy. Therefore, there's no possible way I could understand professional storytelling. Things like dramatic structure, character arcs, thematic underpinnings, coordinated color palettes, and relevant world-building are all unimportant and non-sequitur. "YES.   11.  @viljamtheninja  We've all heard the "the SW prequels suck" nonsense for ages. It's an uneducated, tired, creatively bankrupt viewpoint. Ultimately, the SW prequels have a LOT going for them, and though it definitely seems like they could have spanned six films instead of three, the political undertones of "how a child with a ton of power and wealth rises to power and breeds worldwide corruption" couldn't be more relevant to today, AND ALSO to what the point of "A New Hope"'s overall motifs as well. GL was always about stories where young rebels were fighting against crooked empires. The prequels merely showed how the Anakin character was both easily corrupted and manipulated despite his natural powers and influence. That's how it is with Didnay today, too... KK and Eyegurr are both like corrupt children with megalomaniacal egos and it shows. Enjoy being a ninja, though.

Politics, grandstanding, and "highlighting the viewpoints and attitudes of the actors" weren't even on his radar as specks of dust.   47. I was ALWAYS impressed by "Waterworld". In the end, the story was all about saving a little girl, and that's cool right there. But it makes sense that filming on the ocean is an incredibly difficult, totally unpredictable endeavor. Just look at "The Abyss" (which I am certain The C. Drinker covered before, right?). Thankfully, "Waterworld" was actually a very good film. Jeanne Triplehorn was awesome, as always. Dennis Hopper was over the top, as always. I'm not a big fan of his work, but he was CLEARLY always a competent performer. Supporting cast was great as well. It's incredible it got completed.
