Strange that with NS-2 TLDR made no mention of the maximum sanctions the US threatened to apply to German companies for wanting to buy Russian gas. Sen Ted Cruz personally sent letters to every German company involved and threatened sanctions that would bankrupt those companies. Putin's not in charge, the neocons in the US congress are in charge. Was standing up against US bullying a mistake? One that has started a dozen wars or military coups in the past two decades? In the end perhaps it will be a mistake. It was a mistake for Iraq to have had WMDs (forgot they didn't have WMDs) And look at Libya, Syria and Afghanistan. These countries resisted the neocons and were crushed. So in the end, has Merkle made a very powerful enemy and Germany may pay the price. (or maybe not)
