THe american people wont shy away from competition but they don't want a fight. But this committee does want a fight. The committee's goal is to convince the American people that a war would be good for the US Oligaarchs, I mean the american people. The US has be increasingly agressive in its economic war on China, and has been increasingly agressive in expaning it's military on the doorsteps of China. For this committee the ideal military conflict with China would be a proxy fought over Taiwan that might result in 100,000 Taiwanese killed. Peace is to avoided at all costs. What is protecting Taiwan from a US provoked war is its silicon shield. A US provoked proxy war would start with a military sea and air blockade that prevents Taiwanese chips from reaching the US that would cause a trillion dollar hit to the US economy and a 2 trillion hit to the global economy. Congressman Moulton said in such a war the US will bomb TSMC to the ground. THe 2nd deterent to a US provoked war is the uncertainty that the US would win such a war. And the 3rd deterent is the state of the US economy, the huge debt and deficit and a world scrambling as fast as it can to stop using the US dollar. China is starting to fight back in the economic war after almost 4 years of not retaliating against > 600 sanctions against Chinese companies. Micron corp is the 1st target and it will not be the last. This committee will want the economic war expanded and China will retaliate more. This committee wants a stronger military posture, put missiles on those 9 or 17 bases in the Phillipines. The US spends 4.3% of its GDP on its military. China could respond by increasing its defense budget from 1.4% of GDP to 3+%. It's already large navy will be double the size of the US navy in 10 years.
