It's not just gasoline but apartment rents have gone up about 20% and in some cities 40%. Those at the bottom of the US economy will start to become homeless. Speaking in generalities is useless. Someone institution should do a detailed economic model to see whether this is the end of Russia or the end of US global hegemony.
