I think Cyrus would know that there is a Chinese proverb called: 兔子急了還會咬人呢, when a rabbit is under the threat of being attack, it would bite the predator, even though rabbit is known as a peaceful animal. Cyrus understands Chinese mentality well. We will not start a conflict with any country. However, if we are under threats, no matter how powerful the rival is, we would fight until the end just like what had happened in the Korean War.

  3.  @gulamog5041  The civil war between the ROC regime and the PRC government has never ended. There are not any ceasefire agreements signed too. Of course, the PRC government, as the official representative of China, would like to unify the whole country including Taiwan province through the "one country two systems" scheme. However, if the separatists in Taiwan province are so stubborn, the PRC government would still accomplish unification by force.

  4.  @gulamog5041 During the Lincoln Era, many people of Southern states wanted to be independent from the US federal government. The Lincoln government did not let people from the south become independent through referendum, and the American Civil War started. No country in the world would bear separatists. If people in Taiwan really wants to have independent, just use military force to resist. However, if you lose, the fate of Taiwan will be the same as the fate of the southern states in the US.

  6.  @vitaliibraslavets  Taiwan has been part of China since the early Qing Dynasty and it was occupied by Japan after the Sino-Japanese War. But in WW2 Japan was defeated, so she had to return Taiwan to China; Germany has never been an unified country until 1870. You made a very poor comparison. Use Hitler Germany to compare with the US is more appropriate because both countries are hijacked by a group of militarists. That's why Cyrus, as an American, stands out to ask his country to hold on and calm down. An aggressive US government is not only a threat to other nations, but a threat to Americans as well.

I am not sure if you are from Taiwan or not. If so, please study hard about the history of your province.

The only way the US government to pay all the expenditures is printing money. The collapse of the US dollar is for sure. We just don't know at which point of the time, it will happen suddenly.

However, it is still within Chinese territory. The aim of PRC is to resolve the Taiwan problem either by negotiation or by force, in order to wipe out all the rebels within China.

I think spreading the rumors of massacre in Tiananmen Square is something immoral. In fact even Liu Xiaobo admitted that there was no any killing in Tiananmen Square on June 4th 1989 because all people there had evacuated. In contrast, all people around the world knew that there was a massacre on the Capitol Hill on January 6th 2021. One of the victims was a former US Air Force female pilot. In spite of her contribution to the country, she was shot to death when she joined the protest inside the house of congress.

PLA is called as People's Liberation Army because within the Chinese territory, Taiwan is the exclusive region has not been liberated. I am glad that the US General noticed that going into a war with China would be a disaster and gave a friendly gesture to the PLA general, promising not following Trump's irrational order to attack China. I am pretty sure that even if the PLA liberates Taiwan in the future, the US military will not help defending Taiwan since the US generals don't show much obedience to the president and diplomats.

For instance, the federal government of the US using force to stop Texas from independence was not considered as invasion as well. The conflict between the PRC government and the ROC regime is a civil war that has not finished yet. Both parties even didn't sign any cease fire agreement.
