  1. The point is that if the Tories told the real truth they'd have to admit that this isn't really a democracy and they aren't really in power. They simply aren't allowed to stop the boats. They are nothing more than controlled opposition, a safety valve, with no real power to alter the direction of travel of our society. They run as the party of immigration restriction for 70 years, yet immigration goes up whoever is in government. More immigrants in the last 20 years than the previous 2,000.
