From what I can see in a quick search, she really never worked a proper job. Maybe as a tutor, that could work, but a quick search does not even mention that, so I suspect she didn't do much of it. If the currency is controlled by the government, if they can (and arguably do) hyperinflate it at will, thus robbing everybody of their savings, how does it relate to the central tenant of capitalism, which is the private ownership of the means of production? How much do you really own, if all the numbers on your account can be made worthless at will? What's going to happen if you can't pay all the taxes, which can also be administered at will? Your property will be taken by those who actually already own it, that is the government.

A facade does not need to make sense, all it needs is to provide a smoke screen that obfuscates their real goals. Which are based on spiteful jealousy, the main driving force of their lives.

@tobi2731 Fiat currencies would be money, if they were kept on gold standard. They are not, so they are not money. Do you understand the distinction? Money has value outside of trade exchange, like gold. Paper is practically worthless. " if you don't trust the government " We've been told, that a British one pound banknote is equivalent to a pound of silver. Currently this currency has been devalued by a factor of 300. And there was no hyperinflation yet... Anyway, only fiat currencies hinge on central banks. Money does not need a central banking (like silver coins and such), and of course current cryptos are not controlled by governments. So it's not like we need centralized banking in order to have modern economy. The governments need them, not us.

Currency has no inherent value, so once hyperinflated, you are robbed from your savings. Savings are necessary to deal with bigger payments, which happen from time to time. No savings - you won't own your shop or truck for much longer. So your argument is obviously false. Governments can and do steal property from their citizens. Hyperinflation is one such way.

@YlL-ji2sl " That is also true for paper. " Paper rots instead of rusting and it's not shiny. Apart from that, it's very cheap. What would you do if you wanted to pay your bills in blank paper? Sand is better, in comparison. At least it persists.
