Well, just as mortars provided infantry with its version of artillery, this will provide the infantry version of air support.

@CelticKnight2004 I'm wondering, did how effective USAF was in telling the difference between apartment complex and enemy position in Iraq, Syria or Libya.

"I udn't want to be driving a Russian Tank...." That shows the ignorance of a civilian who considers himself too smart after watching the narrative of just one side of the war. Just tell me, what ud've happened to US military, if they were facing 17,000 Javelins?
2
What ud've happened to US military, if they were facing 17,000 Javelins? I suspect US even have the balls to invade such an enemy. Perhaps, if u live in US or Europe, then worry about your own livelihood and your future first, and laugh about Russian Army later.
2
Really? Game changer? Then tell me, what happened to the Game changer Bayrakter drones? Do Ukraine have any of those anymore?
2
@cacogenicist Idk. After being battle tested, it feels more like a pack of Lays chips. Mostly empty air, but costs a lot nonetheless.

Yet, even the fabled Bayrakter failed to achieve anything like that. And since the 3rd week of March, they are all but disappeared. That shows the level of ignorance and arrogance spread by western media.
1
It's questionable. Cos, did u notice, how Bayrakter strikes have all but disappeared? I think no Bayrakter strike video came our for ~3 weeks now. Besides, I suspect, such a slow, lightweight drone can be easily evaded, and or destroyed using an automatic grenade launcher or even a few LMG.
1
And even if the US does restrict that, what makes you think that people won't sell them?
1
This video is already a marketing. Cos, drones are much more praised than their actual effectiveness. Just ask yourself, since when u last saw the footage of a TB2 attacking a Russian position? Are they even present anymore?
1
Wow! That's a point no YouTube video advertising the drone have ever brought up! Thanks for such an important point.
1
Why do u need such expensive tech when computer guided automatic grenade launchers can do the same and u can field them with a fraction of a cost? Remember, these drones are lightweight and slow as hell.
1
Drones are overhyped. They are useful, but not a game changer. For example, before calling them "future", just ask yourself, what happened to the Bayrakters? They have all but disappeared since the 3rd week of March. If this is the effectiveness of drone systems, then even this video qualifies as shameless marketing.
1
Wow! The wisdom of the masses! You've suggested a great use for such systems! I wish some military person sees this comment.

I'm also curious about this.

"...Days of Tanks are over ..." are said since the 1st world war. That didn't make it go away, it only made them modernize and adapt. The YouTube channel "The Chiftain" (can't give link, YouTube will delete) made quite a few good videos about it. Take a look before you draw conclusion.
