BlitzKrieg was a British idea, that was ignored by the British military, but obviously adopted by the Nazis. This as we know, means Lightening quick attacks, overwhelming the enemy asap. Included in the armament, was short range twin engine bomber's. As the war in general, expanded into a very wide and long-range protracted campaign. It became clear that the ommission of Heavy four engined Bomber's, for retaliation, and supplying the Front line troops, was a huge mistake. Given the total belief in Blitzkrieg, who was responsible for that error, and why did it take so long, to try and correct that ?

Well said, I've read most of mein Kampf, and heard hitler's many speeches. The-Stab-in-the-back ' claim was his starter, ie. cause for vengeance. 'We were never beaten'. Well not decisively on the battle field , although the troops were on the verge of going the way the French were---more and more desesrtions. THE most serious cause for defeat, was the British blocade of German ports, causing huge starvation, street riots, and complete breakdown of government control. i.e CHAOS. Add the huge growth of Communist control in most cities, breeding far Right opposition , etc etc Colapse== defeat.

Hitler was clearly a evil rogue, who would actively dance to any tune, if it achieved what he wanted, In short, he'd adopt any title , and contradict himself over and over. He was supposed to be a Catholic, but in a underhand way, allowed his minions to enforce Nazi indoctrination, but held back on outright condemnation, because it suited him politically to do so. Trying to pin a label on him was very difficult, if not pointless. Tomorrow, being another day.

As with many other examples--bone 'ead hitler interfered far too much in technical issues, especially towards the end, when he became even more erratic and hysterical. He had no knowledge of this stuff, and arrogantly ignored those who did. Again, it was the case with military decisions. He had the worlds best military officer corp, and equippment ( to begin with ) and their only weakness, was their inability to assassinate the idiot. As they say--the script for war, was in his colouring book. ''My effing Struggle.'' he was going EAST, regardless. All the crap that happened in the West, was not in the script. Probably later, when he'd got all his ambitions met, restocked with men, materials, AND the new weapons ! A war on one front only ?? BINGO!

Is that a serious Question ? If you have read Hitlers Biography, as I have ,plus many other sourses, he was as shocked and overawed by his own personal success, to the extent that he thought it was down to the power of self Will, and even allowed God to help a litttle. As far as his early military success is concerned, even some of his Generals thought the little ex Corporal was a genius. In plain words, he beleived he had been sent to acheive a god given order. NOW, is it likely, that having acheived his sworn aim ( in Mein Kampf, ) to occupy the Soviet Union and all countries enroute, and be satisfied ? Each success merely fed his ego more and he would be incapable of sitting back, and be satisfied. He would turn around and head West again, Personally, I think that once Britain had been occupied, the rest of the world would have succumed. No American help, No D-Day, no free World.
