  2. Back when I was 18 working at a Volvo dealer someone brought in a 2 year old car (twin turbo V6) for smoking exhaust. Oil had never been changed in nearly 30k miles, the insides of the engine looked horrible. Owner paid for 2 new turbos, engine flush, and new turbo oil lines. It was back in less than 10k miles for 2 more failed turbos and a loud tick (and they still never changed the oil we put in!) and it ended up needing a new engine, it was just so nasty inside it would have kept blowing turbos. Some people just don't learn.

  3. ​ @brianwelch1579 it had to have had undocumented oil changes. Oil can not last that long. Even if the vehicle was strictly driven on the highway the oil still would have degraded to the point of engine failure.

  4. Make sure the car was cared for, records matter in that case.
