  2. I have great sympathy for anyone who wants to preserve the culture they grew up with, especially from being swamped by other cultures. But as soon as you see a toxic small-minded culture like the one in this village, I think the sooner it evolves the better. Imagine being a black gay muslim in that village? How unwelcome would you feel?
