@QwadLuzr Being with dying relatives when it endangers more people is clearly not essential. THAT is science. Keeping the public informed during a pandemic, and entertained to maintain lockdown IS. PSYCHOLOGY.

@QwadLuzr I never mentioned reality TV OR women's rugby. However, people's mental health during lockdown is critical. Domestic violence is way up, and I wouldn't be surprised if suicides were as well. If you're going to lock people in their homes for an entire year, it's critical that they are given things to occupy their minds. You have yutube. Many families do not. And I notice you completely ignored the fact that I mentioned news.

@QwadLuzr No, it absolutely enrages me that the wealthy are free to move around in public; that Cummings crossed the country; that Johnson's dad went to spain, that the MP bar remained open, and excepptions were made for grouse hunting. But the wealthy have ALWAYS been selfish c***s. It doesn't mean we have to descend to their level. As for the definition of "essential", again, I agree with you that many of them are most certainly not. Sadly, it's bullshit like that, and the fact that school checks are optional, that undermine the public's faith in the government's integrity or competence. But then we all KNEW Johnson was a f****g clown long before this didn't we? As for leftist causes, personally, I'd arrest every single BLM, antilockdown and anti mask campaigner and throw them ALL into prison until this is over. Left and right can rot and infect each other there together. None of which has the slightest thing to do with the critical value of TV to a population in lockdown.

christine cheeseman They're not "more arsed". They have people turning up who need intensive care and are infected with a highly contagious disease. This is the whole problem with Covid - not the direct death rate, but the effect on hospital capacity. If they get someone turning up who is suffocating RIGHT NOW due to covid, of course they are going to prioritise that person over checking for cancer that may not kill at all.

Nor do I think that the personal experience of a single person who has NO idea about the procedures he's commenting on counts for anything whatsoever. I very much doubt that a manual labourer is invited to be part of the inner workings.

@bloodredcommanderigris3469 I didn't insult you snowflake - I expressed total disbelief that you were sufficiently qualified to judge. That's a statement of fact, not an insult. Why would I counter your points when I don't accept that you have the expertise to accurately make such assessments? If I say to you, "As a Tesco cashier, I believe the fuel efficiency of Mars rockets is too low." Why would it be your obligation to counter my assertion, when I am patently unqualified to make it? Your argument amounted to "as a completely inexperienced observer, this what I have observed..." As a person who knows a number of nurses and hospital staff, their experience is diametrically opposed to yours. I know who I put my faith in.

How about cancelling last year's 22 billion dollar increase in military spending? Or the 10 billion of foreign aid? Or the billions we gave to Amazon and EA in unneeded tax incentives? Biggest year in their history, and we're giving them billions in taxes. WTF?! And they're not even British companies. Maybe take some of the Queen's 13.4 billion in lands. They were all stolen anyway. And stop giving money to the church and church schools.
