  1. It's despicable that people can bring up or fabricate comments that supposedly happened, a decade or more after the "traumatising" remarks were made. Either raise it at the time or STFU. If you were not brave enough to mention it when it happened, so that witnesses and corroborating evidence can be sought, you lose that right later and you don't get to destroy people's careers a decade later. That said, no, being racist was 100% deemed offensive just 11 years ago. What he allegedly said would have been out of order 30 years ago, not just 11.
