Christianity is a toxic ideology that DESERVES persecution.

Good for them. Not the route I'd go, but it's nice to see Christianity recognised as the toxic influence it is.

As a Catholic, I'm amazed you even have to ask. Let's see, the institutional cover up of paedophilia, the teaching that you must love an imaginary deity or he will torture you for eternity, the teaching that good works matter nothing only obedience, the coupling of charity with conversion, the teaching that contraception is evil, the corruption of children's minds, the teaching that faith is a desirable trait. I could carry on but I think you get the point.

The Bible is not some great mystery tome. It's evil is well known in the internet age.

And I've noticed that people who leave comments like yours Sam would sooner simply dismiss those who revile their childish beliefs. But you know what is funny Sam; in study after study, it's atheists who are better informed on the Bible than most Christians. Do you know that the majority of Christians cannot even even name the 10 commandments?

I am not conflating God and the church. God is an imaginary character made up by people to fulfil their parent's indoctrination, and to explain the things they don't understand. The church is the body created to perpetuate that myth. Many Christians would disagree with you about the scripturality of the church https://www.9marks.org/article/journalchurch-membership-biblical/ but frankly, to me it's like asking if leprachauns really hide gold at the end of rainbows or just in their homes. The entire concept of god is so demonstrably preposterous, and deferring to a bible that was itself assembled by committee lends any claims zero credibility. I can hardly lie to myself about which interpretation of your fiction is the "true" one.

"western society was built on Gods word" Nonsense. It's true that christianity was force fed down much of Europe's throat for centuries, but the Roman's were all over Europe before christianity started, and christianity is nothing but a dime store rip off of earlier religions.

I'm not remotely tolerant of religious views. I think Christianity and Islam are cancers and if I could do so without creating a counter-resistance movement, I'd wipe them from the planet this instant. Fortunately in the West, Christianity is increasingly being seen as the ridiculous proposition it is, but Islam is still deep in the midst of its inquisition period. Make no mistake, even the very mildest Christian is part of a culture that promotes ignorance and belief in superstition. If that makes you uncomfortable, or you don't like that fact being pointed out, maybe you need to re-examine your beliefs rather than trying to shame the messenger.
