  1. The government's role is to facillitate a safe society in which it acts for the general wellbeing of the citizens. It is NOT to sit in imperious judgement over us all, dictating how we must live our lives. This issue is difficult because bad parenting makes bad kids makes worse society, but at least a couple of these cases do not appear to be down to bad parents. I do get concerned when so many parents' go to excuse is autism or ADHD, but I don't know what the right solution should be for these kids.

  2. They're immensely expensive. Are you willing top sacrifice your healthcare, policing or your kids's education to help a tiny minority that requires a disproportionate amount of funding?
