Nobody is saying that because kids CAN work, that they have to, nor is he suggesting that 12 year olds go get full time jobs. But if enterprising kids, or kids from poor backgrounds want to earn a bit of money, you'd deny them that opportunity? LePage's point about war was utterly logical.. The point he was making, was that it's not as if a youngster suddenly matures such a massive amount in two years, that one day they need permission from their school superintendent to do a bit of paid work, and two years later they are mature enough to make life and death decisions for themselves. This video is one of the things that's wrong about America - big brother wanting to impose its narrow-minded views on everyone else.
