  1. You criticise Karl for using the cop shows as an example of how the technology is used, but there wasn't a single thing he said that is NOT within the capacity of law enforcement. Geolocating or "pinging" your phone as Karl puts it, is routine pracice by the mobile companies, who already keep those records. By all means argue against the constitutionality, but don't attack either the technicality or the whether it's actually used, because both are already demonstrable.
