  3. I don't really know the work PETA does, but if they're anthing like European animal rights activists, they fight against inhumane treatment of animals in food production and laboratories. I suspect if I was a monkey, and I had a choice between being given cancer or a rabbit that had corrosive chemicals daily dripped into my eyes, or dying, I might choose death.

  4. You have no idea about the function of PETA, any more than I do. They have provided very good reasons for their euthenasia of animals - not least that they were taking over the function for other shelters that were euthenasing animals inhumanely. PETA is not simply for the prolongation of animal lives under any circumstances, and they provide clear examples of cases when humanely killing animals is preferable to the alternatives. It's like abortion - not a black and white issue.
