@weldonwin Sort of. The Royal Navy seem to have had the same idea at the same time as or just before the US, judging by some of Dreadnought's proposed turret layouts. The RN's decision not to opt for them for so long as they did (despite building superfiring Dreadnoughts for Brazil), was due to the Sighting Hoods not being deemed adequately protected from the blast of 4 guns firing in close proximity, and the concern that one hit could theoretically disable 40% of the ship's armament.

@richmcgee434 I can picture the Spaniards still managing to get insanely lucky with a torpedo though XD.

@kieranh2005 I wouldn't count a Casement to be a Turret (nor would Drach'), but aye, the germans too.

@AudieHolland Technically the only multi-turreted Heavy Tank the UK did was a Vickers one-off prototype. The French & Russians were the ones actually bonkers enough to take the idea further.

@kieranh2005 As an addendum though: I'm only aware of one multi-turreted Tank that the Germans actually built; and that spent most of the war in Norway, as it was deemed inadequate for anything else.
