  2. ^x2 Not quite. They were created specifically to be a law enforcing organisation to local people that was more friendly and approachable than the army could be. Quite literally, it was always in the Police's mission to [as the Americans put it] Serve the Public Trust . Ours have been perverted into being just a bunch of dodgy rent-a-thugs by the bliarite dross now; not worthy of an ounce of respect now.
