why? the founding fathers did
1
Thomas Jefferson and James Madison believed that without separating church from state, there could be no real religious freedom. If you want religious freedom, you have to accept this coach cannot pray on school time
1
@alllivesmatter8581 really? you think teaching children they come from an old man in the sky with a white beard, that sent hid son to earth, and could do magic, is not indoctrination? seriously??
1
@alllivesmatter8581 thats also indoctrination. you can play semantic games as much as you want. 'giving awareness of a diety' is indoctrination. every child is born as an atheist. people do'nt get religious from themselves. its because its teached at that vulnerable age, when you believe also things like Santa. And people come from people, not from a super natural being. But hey, i can be wrong! Show me your 'Kreator'. Where is he? Show me! and i will believe
1
if you let this caoch do it, you have to let the cleaning lady of the school pray for Satan too on school grounds
1
why didn't god intervene?
1
<why gross. its what the founding fathers wanted
1
no, there isn't

1
you can pray, but not ask from others if you are in a position of power, and are paid by the state
1
@Gitn2it seriously??? never?? history is full of it
1
religion is as bad as woke. both are indoctrination
1
nah, totally not
1
your school was a public school?

1
also prayers for Satan?
1
why doesn't god just do it. why do you need to ask god??
1
@troymykink6322 ok, you answer my question with another question. you must be female.
1
you are wrong. Thomas Jefferson and James Madison believed that without separating church from state, there could be no real religious freedom. If you want religious freedom, you have to accept this caoch cannot pray on school time
1
yea, Christians never fought wars .....🙄
1
@helloitsme2395 You are wrong. it doesn't matter if he 'isn't forcing anybody', or he isn't 'holding against anyone'. The reality is that YOU CANNOT know. of course the caoch will say this! You think he will admit he will keep somebody out of the team? The problem is not only you have to believe this caoch on his word, it's that if you allow this, you will open the gates for ALL RELIGIONS!!! and this is what the founding father absolutely didn't want
1
@denniseastman324 I am 100% right. the founding fathers weren't Christians. they didn't want a state that took sides. so if you are a government employee, you can't force your religion upon others. its very very simple.
1
@denniseastman324 no, you are wrong. The power of the Church of england (just like the English monarchy) was finished after 1776. All legislation after that was solely about internal religious freedom. Fi The Supreme Court has cited Jefferson’s letter in key cases. This caoch did abuse his power given by him by the State. He did pray in his favorite religion, to his favorite god. he didn't pray to Zeus, or Apollo, did he? and the government, or its agents CANNOT TAKE SIDES!
1
peer pressure. the coach should respect people who do'nt want to pray

1
??? it IS in the Constitution!!
1
@coachduke9323 >>I'm NOT a leftist! i just believe in the Constitution like the founding fathers intended it to be: the power of the state comes from the people, not from a super natural being. So lets be very clear: you are not in favor a seperation of Church and state?
1
i do'nt believe you. this is totally un constitutional
1
there is an element of force, because the coach has a position of power. and if you let this caoch do it, you have to let the cleaning lady of the school pray for Satan too on school grounds
1
good argument😉
1
@stevenward3856 Seriously??? you want the US to be a theocracy??? You think that is what the founding fathers wanted??? 🙄🙄🙄 God has never been 'kicked' out anywhere. its just that the State cannot choose sides. If you do'nt agree with seperation of church and state, and the Satanist church is very succesful in the next 20 years, and gets the most impoortant religion, will you agree that the president says: Satan bless America??
1
Why on earth you want to pray before a football game? if you think god is going to help you are mistaken
1
if you let this caoch do it, you have to let the cleaning lady of the school pray for Satan too on school grounds
1
Thomas Jefferson and James Madison believed that without separating church from state, there could be no real religious freedom. If you want religious freedom, you have to accept this caoch cannot pray on school time
1
the person who died was real. god is not real
1
so ... what is your point? you are not in favor of seperation church state??
1
@stevenward3856 this is all BS. You just accept what the SCOTUS does, only if it rules in your favor. if it doesn't, you do'nt accept the ruling. That is NOT how the US works. The Supreme Court has cited Jefferson’s letter in key cases, beginning with a polygamy case in the 19th century. Dont bother me with boring rambling about 'checks and balances'. This is about the seperation of church and state. This coach is an agent of the government, paid by the government. he cannot take sides. he prayed in his favorite religion, to his favorite god, didn't he? or did he pray to the Aztek Sun God? If you accept this, the school janitor can do satanic rituals with the kids too.
1
@coachduke9323 what is not a real problem to consider?
1
@stevenward3856 and i asked you a simple question, which you avoided to answer: are you or are you not in favor of a seperation wetween church and state??
1
@GroundbreakGames you do'nt understand. Freedom of religion also means freedom from religion. A man with an authority, given by the state, cannot force his religion on others. it would be different if he prays in all religions available. but he didn't, he prays for HIS favorite super natural being. and all the others have to join in
