The trouble with medication is that everyone reacts differently. I have severe mental problems. I am now off SSRI antidepressants because they destabilize people with bipolar disorder. Before I had taken at least 5 SSRI's. They did work for me but they had annoying side effects and stopped working after a year or two. The side effects of tricyclic antidepressants were much worse for me because they made my heart beat too fast. If you are getting off medication it is important to be removed slowly so you don't have bad withdrawals. This did not happen with me and luckily I was ok but obviously other people have problems. Any medication will have side effects so think twice before taking it. There is no easy fix.

We will see if hallucinogens work better.

I had more problems with tricyclic antidepressants and a couple of antipsychotics.

@freedoompictures6839 I don't use hallucinogens or any other illegal drugs but I am curious what the research on them will say.

@joeking433 I have gone off Seroquel. It is an antipsychotic though. I don't remember any problems. The side effects bother me though.
