@CaIypso5150 Ye, though people fighting monsters would reasonably not want becoming one. What value do you think a court would give an interrogation if it's subsequently shown that the suspect was in a state of confusion due to some head injury. Same if there been some scruff when the subject being arrested, a quick medical check should be dem ne in self interested. There are a couple of cases in Sweden where people have died while in custody, often it's not due to anything the cops have done, often they have arrested someone they percieved as drunk or affected by drugs to the degree they put themselves or others in danger. And then it's shown in autopsy that the arrested person was goung into insulin coma, had been aussalted earlier and had a slow seeping cerebral hemmorhage which may have their behaviour appear as a severly drunk.
In this video the dude is pos, but the cops for their own sake should have the possibility to remain the good guys to a 100% and hence access to a quick medical check should be available. They should be able to be a measure of how people should treat their fellow citizen, even those who are not worthy of much respect. And this said, I'm european, and we're not anywhere near as litigation happy as the US legal tradition.
I'm not bothered about the verbal taunting, just that it could be an excercise for naught if his reactions are due to some head injury.
