  8. Don't agree with that German politics is the triggering reason for the 6 months suspension of the Schengen treaty. It happened before in 2015 ? There is basis in the treaty for temporary suspension up to 6 mnts, which can be extended after that. To introduce permanent border controls, would be a treaty violation. It is also worthy of note that the UK is introducing tighter border controls. Starting from January '25 for non EU citizens, and from March '25 for EU citizens. To draw conclusions I believe these two tightenings need to be seen as part of a whole. What foreseeable is up ?
