YOU FORGOT THAT many Ukrainian front areas, WERE INVADED BY MOUSES AND RATS (due to increasing in numbers due to many corpses and scattered human parts blown in bombardments, AND IN SOME front area in Ukraine rats and mouses HAVE BECOME A PESTILENCE, (DISEASE CAUSING) MUCH MORE problems THAN WHAT HAVING ONE OR TWO CATS could. Too many dead, decaying corpses on the field, ( or remains of human blown , scattered parts plus the human poo.. or what else, such as dead wild life due to bombs, fires, etc, SO IF YOU DON'T HAVE A CAT THAT FEEDS ALMOST ONLY WITH WHAT IT CATCHES like in third world countries poverty slams or neighborhoods where there is human malnutrition, much the less are pets fed and have to survive with whatever insects or rodent could catch on the field, back yard, streets, . . . etc. Even some neighborhoods of cities like Paris and New York sometimes had rat and mouse infestations causing disease. People which have grown on the countryside knows that they have prevented such problems by having a cat which in most countries knows no "commercial cat food" but feed by themselves with whatever could catch and with whatever food remains left from human consumption given to them. THERE IS NO BETTER REPLACEMENT FOR CATS IN SUCH PLACES, ESPECIALLY ON THE FRONT IN WARS. SPECIAL SMALL RACE OF DOGS BREED FOR HUNTING RATS AND MOUSES ARE ALSO A SECOND GOOD choice and SOLUTION BUT LESS PRACTICAL ON THE FRONT AND HUGELY LESS AVAILABLE AS A POPULATION IN ANY COUNTRY. CATS OUTNUMBER HUGELY THE RAT-MOUSE HUNTER DOGS PARTICULAR BREED OF DOGS to more than 100 cats (even more than 150 or 200) per such dog world wide, less popular kind of dog to have since could often be bitten or killed by big dogs, since less able to escape on a tree or fence like a cat, and since eats much more than a cat in order to survive and wont survive if not also fed by humans while cats does survive even on their own if are outside specially country side with gardens and fields. Such specialized rat-mouse hunting dogs are less available world wide than other dogs which won't do the rat-mouse solving issue on the front and could even become an impediment.
