Development & Hinduism are antithetical to each other. Thanks to the manusmriti driven varnashram reservations even to this day more than 80% of wealth & power is still disproportionately under the control of 15% of the oppressing castes. This situation is the direct outcome of the apathetic attitude of these manuwadi oppressing castes towards the oppressed bahujan castes who comprise the remaining 85%. Be it politics, judiciary, business, administration etc the disproportionate domination of these oppressing castes chokes the growth and development of the oppressed. Varnashram reservations has ascribed poverty to caste and so why would the oppressing castes even bother abt the oppressed castes as the former has always viewed the very ethos of egalitarianism with utter disdain - although when abroad they keep croaking about freedom, human rights, ethnic quota etc- so to expect these manuwadi marons to use their positions for mass welfare and development is to expect the sun to rise from the west. Therefore unless India is freed from the clutches of these manuwadis the development of the majority bahujans will continue to remain stunted. How biased are these oppressing castes manuwadis can be gauged from the fact that this same manuwadi judiciary put a ceiling of 50% to scuttle the reservations for obcs but shamelessly lifted the ceiling to accommodate EWS reservations meant for their oppressing castes ….
