  1. The maligned reputation of the Indian business being dominated by the fraudulent Bania-bamman cabal is the reason why ppl hoard / save money in gold. Imagine what wld hv been the scale of Indian economy had this money found its way from gold to equities, bonds etc. The Bania-bamman driven burgeoning NPA’s, Stock market scams and Cronyism in Indian businesses has had been the major deterrent to the flow of capital into business. It was hoped that after the opening up of the economy western ethos wld get transplanted into the Indian business system but alas incidents like the NSE scam - wherein a BABA’s advice took precedence over that of professionals - has proved that old habits die hard …long live the bamman-Bania cabal !
