What about terraforming Mars with life? Create, using genetic modification, a plant that will grow in his conditions and will be black. When the plant takes up most of the surface of Mars, its albedo will decrease, and part of the light that was previously reflected will be absorbed and heat the surface. As the temperature rises, the poles will melt and the atmospheric pressure will increase. I'm not sure if a person could survive there without a spacesuit after that, but there will be more possibilities for liquid water. As it evaporates, clouds will be created and the atmospheric pressure will rise even more. (As far as I know, water vapor is the most important source of the greenhouse effect on Earth). Yes, the atmosphere will not be breathable, but still, being on the surface in oxygen masks is already better. Also, some amount of O2 will be formed due to the decomposition of water vapor by solar rays. Yes, it will take a long time, but we are talking about terraforming. The main advantage of this method is that it does not require megastructures. In theory, we can start doing this right now - it will cost as much as launching the next rover
