@martynfenton3814 You are aware, that EU subsidies for poor areas/ regions went directly to those areas/regions IF the county had applied for those subsidies (to support poor infrastructure, social projects like for kids/teens etc, or simply needed infrastructure) at the EUs Commission. Like Cornwall used to receive about £800ish million EU subsidies per year, as Cornwall was one of the five poorest regions in the EU. Now Cornwall receives about £1million per year .. from Westminster. You might wonder why there are no youth clubs/kids projects exist in Grimbsby and Hull anymore? Because they were fully financed with EU subsidies. Greetings from the EU

@martynfenton3814 Just look up at the EUs Commission site "all about EU - FAQs". In case you see these oval "blue with yellow stars plaques"on houses/ buildings or other subjects, that's the prove for EU subsidies have been done at that subject. May be you'd like to watch "Brexit and the Fishermen" on YT, very enlightening, it's a report about Grimbsby and Hull, btw. Enjoy 😉 Greetings from the EU27
