@Parker_Douglas
Errr, I didn't "call out" any Empire, IF you would have been reading my various posts as seen above.
NO WAR or other is good at all, neither what the Nazis did, nor any of the so called "colonial powers/empires, as ALL of them did actually just "occupied/invaded/colonialised" countries, where also millions of people died either due starvation (about 50ish million Indians/Bengals) died through British occupation/colonialism, about 1,5 million Irish people died through British occupation/colonialism, all together due to British "colonialism/occupation/colonialism/invasions" about 185ish million people died worldwide ... nothing to be "proud off" really....
At least Germany/the German people are admitting their past, trying to make sure, that "this will never happen again", have paid compensation, as much as it's possible, have given back stolen items to the original owners/countries/people, and are supporting those nations with humanitarian aid/money.
Opposit to the UK, which still "thinks", it's an "Empire", and most of the British museums are stuffed with "stolen goods" from all around the world, where the British Empire had set its "foot" on, including most of the "Crown juwelries, those huge diamants etc...
It's about time, as we're living in 2023, to get "rid off" these "imperial habits".
Btw, Waterloo you Brits only won, because of the support of the Dutch army, the army from the house of Hanover and Brunswick, and the Prussian army under leadership of General Blucher.
Same goes for both WWs, of which only WW II was started by Germany, but at both WWs without the support/help of the French, Polish, Americans, Canadians, Russians the UK would have had problems.
Notice: I'm very happy, greatfull and thankfull, that all of these nations/people freed Europe from the Nazi dictatorship.
Forgot to say, this vlog is about "King Charles", as far as I know, he's the King of the UK/GB, therefor it's quite normal, one would think, to talk about the UK ...
About the Nazis and King Edward VIII, thankfully he had to resign because of his (later) American wife, as he and her were Nazis and both good friends with H.
Like that Oswald Mosley and "his blackshirts".
Imagine the terrible reputation the UK would have had, having a Nazi King.
Btw, my London born spouse and I are living in Germany. Half of my married on English family has been in service for the Queen ...
Have a nice evening 😊

@yoo_hoo_anyone_there
You should be aware that Germany is federal, most of the todays federal states are the original territories of the biggest ancient Germanic tribes, therefor lots of things/food/goods have different names like:
Krapfen in the south,
Viktoria in Bremen,
Berliner everywhere but Berlin, while in Berlin they are called Pfannkuchen.
While Pfannkuchen everywhere else in Germany is whats called Eierkuchen in Berlin 🤣
When I moved from Bremen to Berlin, most food like at bakeries, butchers etc had completely different names or, even worst, same name for a different thing/food 🤣
Bread roll: Brötchen (North), Rundstück (West)
Semmel (South),
Schrippe (Berlin) etc.
Same goes for cakes, if available, because of different traditions, or virtually everything at the butchers 🤣
Happy Easter from Bremen 😊
