  1. Just some facts: There are about 2.000 Leopard 2 A4/5/6/7 in the EU and Turkiye. Turkiye and Greece have about 500 Leopards each, but won't send any, nor won't Austria. From the about 950ish Leopard 2 A4/5/6/7 most of them are in actively use for the NRFNATO responce force all along the east Nato border (to protect Nato territory and its member states) due to the recent war. The EU member states will send about 90ish Leopard 2 A4/5/6 to Ukraine at spring time plus those 100 Leopard 1 A5 from German stock plus another 80ish Leopard 1 A5 from the Netherlands and Denmark plus some Challengers. Abrams will be send in one year. Training has already started. Since 2014 Germany is doing its NATO job at the Baltics with about 1.700 troops ( from which two thirds are German) including equipment and another 2.000 German troops are on stand by in case of urgent needed action. Germany is also doing the air policing at the Baltics as well as some German Fregates are "cruising" in the Baltic Sea to protect the Baltics from the sea side. Since January the NRFNato VJTF responce force with about 11.000 troops ( from which 8.000 are German troops) incl full equipment ( like about 40ish Leopard A7V and other "stuff ") are at the Baltics as well. Some weeks ago the German army has installed various Patriot air defense systems ( owed by German army) along the eastern Polish border to protect Poland towards Russia. Same was done in Slowakia. Your "idea" to strip down the military equipment from EU member state by about 90 % to pass on that equipment is a joke, as "heavy action" is going on all along the eastern Nato flank/ border since Russia started the war. Don't know from which country you are, but I doubt you would appreciate to be protected by just some people with "some rifles" in case of Russia decides to misuse that situation of a "bare" Nato territory/EU27. Just saying... Greetings from the EU27
