  1. This isn't unique to the Communists. Back when they had aristocracy the harems of serior officials were mostly staffed with the daughters of lesser officials who were trying to gain advantage for themselves and their daughters (who had a slim chance of becoming de facto queen). Same racket, but these days they pretend it doesn't happen.
