No country in the world can report asymptomatic cases accurately.

@rpg1663 Those in lock down can ask friends who can move around to deliver the medication they need. In the US, many of us (not all, depends on your insurance) can see the doctors via phone calls or video phone calls. During the height of the pandemic, many doctors in the US refused to see patients in person and emergency rooms/hospitals refused to admit any non-life threatening patients other than COVID life-threatening emergencies. There are many medication shortages in the US due to the pandemic because the drug manufacturers are busy producing the vaccines and stopped producing some medications. I was out of my arthritis medication for almost half a year and just able to get it two months ago in the US. Lock down or not, this pandemic interrupted all of us in different aspect of our lives, have nothing to do with your stupid "freedom".

@0wninguplz As you said, on the same street there is a community who has a few cases. Be patients. You live in a very populated country. You only locked down for 35 days. In NYC we are semi-lock down for more than two years.
5
@Time4Peace If NYC can, Shanghai can do it faster with the dynamic clearing policy. China should vaccinate the elderly as much as possible.
4
@joestki There is almost no accountability for the gov't of the US and many western countries.
4
Agree. Many of us have lived miserable for more than 2 years in the US.
4
@Shenzhou. No one can predict what crazy trump will do.
4
@llg4116 There are shootings almost every day in NYC, this doesn't mean all cities in the US are not safe. So Shanghai failed to contain the virus doesn't mean the "dynamic clearing" policy fails. Both Hong Kong and Shanghai failed to control the spread of COVID is mainly because many people and local gov't of Shanghai and Hong Kong are influenced by the western COVID policy and not following the China central gov't policy of "dynamic clearing" in early days.
4
People should try their best to help their elderly members and neighbors but be careful not to transmit the virus to them.
3
@moresoysauce5489 Due to the population density in many large China cities, the COVID death rate will be much higher than that in the US and the West. Hong Kong is a good example.
3
@yolinoyoung1168 Compare to no lock down, that number is nothing. Think about 1 million deaths in the US vs a few thousands in China (excluding numbers from HK).
3
@kammonkam4905 You are Chinese but I don't think you know Chinese culture at all. May be only YOUR "Chinese" culture is about "face saving".
3
Did Shanghai gov't communicate with Central gov't?
2
@janelleodionu3631 You prefer three million coffins instead.
2
@chongdi6140 This situation happened in the US too, causing many people died indirectly due to COVID.
2
People in China may not watch YouTube but they can if they know how to use VPN.
2
@kammonkam4905 Do you know the death rate in HK?
2
In NYC, we are semi-lock down for more than 2 years.
2
@yolinoyoung1168 7 days is nothing. NYC semi-lock down for more than 2 years. If you stop the "dynamic clearing" policy in China, then be prepared to see more that 300 millions death in China and semi-lock down for many years.

@ysw8291 No one likes COVID neither.
1
The US/west gov't don't value life as much as the China gov't.
1
@saint_matthias You should gradually change your mindset to pro-China and pro-communism.

@jrpark05 Prove that I am lying. I understand how tough it is to be restricted in an apartment for long time. At one point I felt like I would be exploded from inside out and I was all by myself for 6th months. I don't quite remember how I lived through those days. I guess I was so involved in researching on the Internet regarding COVID and politics and commenting just like what I am doing now, and watching youtube movies. During the pandemic I needed to work at home most of the times and sometimes even had to work overtime. Because I had so many work to do, so time passed by fast for 18 months of semi-lock down. Except the first few months of the pandemic, every few days, I would go out for a quick walk to pick up free food from the gov't, although I can afford food. This was just an excuse for me to go outside. Prior to the pandemic, I didn't pay attention to channels on youtube.

@stevenorcutt2099 Many restaurants and small stores are still closed in NYC. We are semi-lock down for more than 2 years.
1
@kammonkam4905 Same in the US. All countries are under-count.
1
@kammonkam4905 He is US citizen.
1
We don't have normal life for more than 2 years in NYC, even though NYC has not completely locked down for a day.
1
I see you don't respect the elders but the power.
1
@kammonkam4905 There would be 2 millions death in the US if the US counted your way.
1
Hong Kong just have more than 8000 people died of COVID recently, with no full lock down.
1
HK just has more than 8000 deaths.
1
@saint_matthias Agree zero COVID is impossible for long term but is possible for a short time frame to slow down spread and minimize deaths.
1
@saint_matthias I can tell that you don't understand science, don't understand virus control and don't know about exponential of math. Go learn about these concepts before you talk here again. You don't understand what DISASTER China will face if China have no local lock downs. The US/west would like to follow China's virus control policy but they CAN'T because they don't have unity in their countries. The best scientific virus control policy is China's virus control policy.
1
Every once a while I will starve myself for a day to keep myself in good health.
1
@thomaskuehne7383 Without zero COVID policy, China will run out of coffins.
1
@kammonkam4905 Without the Great Wall, there wouldn't be China for long time ago.
1
Among 100 people, you will get at least 50 different viewpoints of the same issue.
1
@Time4Peace That's none of your business unless you live in China. There will not be much lives if China just let the virus run wild like the west, who care about livelihood when there is no life.
1
@eonglee44 Until most elderly and others are vaccinated and better cure has invented/discovered, China should continue its dynamic zero COVID policy.
1
Agree 100%. Many neglected that China has 1.4 billions people and has many cities with high population density. China can't let the virus run wild like many other countries.
1
@taijistar9052 I found your comment is really stupid and just try to blacken the China gov't.
1
@MrMrbokchoi I am in NYC. I worked at home for 18 months during the pandemic and I "lock" myself home most of the times for more than 2 years now because I have high risk of dying if I get COVID. People in China even with short lock downs, still have more freedom than those of us in the US.
1
In the US we value freedom to spread the virus more than human life. More than 1 million deaths and we live in semi-lock down for more than 2 years.
1
@Damo-ml3fc Agree. The US gov't should consider your suggestions.
1
Are you living alone?
1
@12thlane59 But did you get your problem solved after protesting?
1
@bingdd168 Aren't those elderly US politicians still in power in messing up our lives?
1
@ellashy6539 A window to allow people to runaway to other cities and spread the virus more?
1
Too bad you can't even think better than a bot.
1
It is always the local gov't is directly responsible for any city in the world.
1
@MikeyDaHammer I heard that China doesn't vaccinate elderly above 90 years old. I found this odd. In US, both my parents are 90+ and are diabetic. Both have 3 shots of US vaccines and have no problem. But I know one of my parent's friends who had heart problem died shortly after the COVID vaccination. I believe China should vaccinate most of its elderly who has no underlying health issues and those with diabetes immediately.
1
@RoyalAve321 Thousands per year.
