Can't be right. China's fleet is made up of far larger and more numerous vessels than Japan's. Both military and merchant vessels
4
The guys needs to update himself. China's Navy has around 100 vessels between 4000 and 13000 tons consisting type 054 frigates, 052 destroyers and 055 cruisers/destroyers. They regularly go to the gulf of Aden on anti piracy missions and UN missions. Additionally, China has the Beidou full-fledged satellite navigation system built by its military.
3
No...they had blackouts even before. They have had trouble keeping up with demand locally for a few decades now. Not just coal or whatever but the grid itself. They need a LOT of energy for Industry
2
Singapore is for Singapore. Has always been that way. It is friendly to both US and China. US Carriers and destroyers are often there for supplies and repairs but Singapore would also open up their deep water port for China if it asks. Singapore is about straight forward business so as to survive as a very small (but Rich) country in a not so nice neighborhood, although much nicer in the last couple decades

How did it "bite them"? It didnt. Thats a false narrative peddled by some right wing Aussies. The ONLY thing that they needed from Australia has been Iron ore, while they ramp up production and imports elsehere. But for Ore, Australia cannot afford to not sell as well. India is not even close to making up any sudden Chinese fall in demand
1
Blackouts were common even before the ban @EireHammer
1
Explain please. the blackouts didnt last very long @EireHammer
1
My source is i live here. What's ongoing? @EireHammer
1
lol . get a grip. it's 2024 @qlee50
1
But you said dec 2023 which was 3 weeks ago. lol. China is huge but are you saying a big blackout happening in LA would not make the news in NYC? dude! @EireHammer
1
and Australian coal isn't usually used for power in China...it's used for making steel. lol @EireHammer
1
and Australian coal isnt used for power in China. lol. its used to make steel.
1
Nah...Unlike India, China has not nationalized anything since Mao's era 60-70 years ago.
1
Nope..Rusisa, Mongolia, Khazachstan. @HR_8035_YEA
1
Since when was the QE carrier a 'super carrier'? It's not. 😂
1
Nope. Australian coal was never used to generate electricity in China. It was used to make steel
1
they only suffered outages breifly due to massive heatwaves, especially in Sichuan. Power plants in China generally do not use Australian coal, which is used in the steel making industry

Whats does "playing nice" mean? Becoming a US vassal? ain't gonna happen
1
Modi himself isn't averse to using violence to quash other groups as he demonstrated during the Gujarat Muslim massacre of 2002 when he was The chief of that state. I believe this was an orchestrated program with knowledge at the very top of the Indian government. Canada certainly thinks so.
1
No...in most countries where Chinese have settled down (South East Asia for example), most leave politics to the ruling class. This goes back to ancient times. The mandate of heaven thing. @christophertobin5696
1
Too much swindling and cheating. In the case of Foxconn, why would they put out money and start building without getting the promised financial subsidy? Aside from that, there is a litany of foreign companies getting the shaft in India and being extorted in broad daylight. Xiaomi, Ford, Wistron, OPPO, Vivo etc..
1
China's nuclear infrastruture is one of the most, if not the safest in the world on track record @danz1182
1
@prashanthkamath6105 kissinger killed anyone of his allies citizens on their own soil? No.
1
@pragathikumar9503 pannum isn't a designated terrorist in the US. Plus India did what it did on the soil of supposedly an ally. Very, very different from taking out so-called terrorists on the soil of non - allies
1
"Picking sides" is an american concept in todays world. China is friendly to all Middle Eastern countries despite great animosity between some of those countries

Too much whisky...

The guy is often loose with exact data and actual facts. He is a sensationalist and has been so on many topics.
1
@azalea_moon-kee I see you are also loose with facts. When did Crimea invasion by Russia happen? I may be wrong but Didn't Zeihan make the so-called prediction after that? Fact check me and yourself on that. Didn't many others make the same claim because Crimea WAS Ukraine!? He has also been predicting the implosion of China since mid 2000s. And every chance he got since... It's been almost 20 years. China has grown 5 to 6 times since. And also that of Germany later on. So many prophet-like nonsensical predictions he has made over the years.

The biggest and nastiest "tribe" is that of Anglo-saxons globally
1
China's ground transportation network is mostly electrified
1
Maybe some in the ruling party (most of whom were educated in either Singapore or US) are totally pro US...but no, most of the populace will not fight China on behalf of the US. And I am not just talking about the 70+% ethnic Chinese, but the ethnic Indians and Malays as well @danz1182

Having said that, Singapore has been a partner (not ally) of the US for many decades, especially when China was hard core communist (which they are just nominally today). It has a formidable military for its size, complete with f15, f16, f35, Lafayette Frigates, lots of missiles etc etc and all high tech stuff. Singapore has been steadfast in its dealings with the West, Japan etc. No monkey business and abrupt changes in governance. No abitrary harassment of western companies, of which there are 10s of thousands on the tiny Island. No colonial hangover....just business and principles. Worked out ok but now lots of people are complaining about having been left behind in this very expensive city and are in no mood to play geopolitics @danz1182
1
Wrong..a Pew survey taken just in 2022 showed only Singapore and Malaysia among dozens of countries worlwide as having good sentiments increased substantially towards China...to 67% in Singapore's case. @Defective1313
1
You havent kept up to date. The air quality in China has improved tremendously in the last decade. It is at the forefront of envoronmental cleanup (air, waterways, forests) and the use of tech for new energy @chrisjackson1215
1
@sulblazer what you fail to realize is often times, the US itself and its Zionist buddies are the ones CREATING the problems to begin with and before that... It was the Brits. Also, look at the many borders the west created in the last century. All over the world, not just in the middle east. Many are artificially demarcated, splitting peoples. Finally, Houthis have not attacked any Chinese vessels or those bound for China. They have no plans to deliberately target Chinese assets. In fact, some western companies tried to pass off their ships as Chinese in the Red Sea.
1
Because its the 2nd largest economy in the world? Largest auto market in the world? largest consumer of many, many commodities? Because only relatively few factories and mostly lower end ones are "moving"? Because China is a very large chemicals producer and importer? Because China spends over 200B a year on it military? Many, many reasons. The world does not revolve around the US @mmmbop860
1
China confiscates household savings? This guy never stops lying about China (and many other non-US countries)
1
"It doesn's have to be the dollar...but could be the RUPEE"....really, dude?? He should really stop pontificating about things he isn't an expert in...like dollars & cents and economic matters. Lol
1
More nonsense from this dude. Go check the likes of Qualcomm, Nvidia, Micron, AMD, Intel, Apple, Starbucks, Ford, GM, Boeing etc etc etc and see their trading relationships with China. You simply can't escape the 2nd largest economy in the world as a capitalist private enterprise. What are they supposed to do? Sell more to mountain hikers in Colorado?

When you have nothing to say cause you just dunno... Ageism sounds like a good bet to keep conning your audience
