French luxury goods companies and German car as well as industrial equipment manufacturers can't survive without the chinese market. VW sells over 40% of all the new cars they make globally to China. French luxury brands like Hermes get over 25% of their global revenues from China.

@ivanteo1973 hmm.. IMF says India will grow 6.8% while China at 5.2 this year. Take out your calculator. 5.2 % in China growth is like adding 25% of India entire GDP in a single year! 6.8% is not high enough when you are a 3+T economy with 1.4B people. And high growth has to be continuous for a good number of years. China was growing at above 10% consecutively for years at that stage.

@ivanteo1973 really dude? You are comparing Indian market to Chinese market? Get a passport and take a trip to Beijing or Shanghai or any other T1 and T2 cities. They are littered with western shops of premium brands. There is a reason for that.

@zvast China has excellent EVs like BYD, Nio and Xpeng. It's the biggest car market in the world. All major global brands are there to cater to it.
