Comments by "dragosstanciu" (@dragosstanciu9866) on "Why do people believe propaganda? (German ‘justification’ for invading Poland 1939)" video.
@AMX8799 Wrong. There was no proxy war in 2014 when Russia invaded Ukraine and stole Crimea and half of Donbas.
16
Why should Poland negotiate when it became clear after March 1939 (German invasion of Czechoslovakia) that Germany could not be trusted?
12
@Assismus No. Russia recognized Ukraine's independence in 1991and guaranteed its borders (Budapest Memorandum). Russia is not protecting anyone, Russia is invading.
8
@AMX8799 Standing up? How? By destroying Ukraine?
6
@Assismus No. Crimea and Donbas are not Russian oblasts, they are Ukrainian. Russia protected no one.
6
@scottboelke4391 Exactly.
5
@Francois15031967 Wrong. It was a non-aggression pact that included secret protocols that allowed Germany and the USSR to invade Poland, Finland, Romania, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania.
2
@Francois15031967 By your logic it was the USSR and Germany that started WW2, because they signed the Soviet-German pact in August 1939 in which they split eastern Europe between them.
2
No, no no, Japan started WW2 by invading China in 1937.
2
Bringing German speaking nations under a single control is fine, but what about the German invasion on Czechoslovakia in March 1939? The Czechs are not Germans, they did not want to be under German control.
2
By your logic the Germans too were unreasonable when they invaded the rest of Czechoslovakia in March 1939. The Czechs did not want to be invaded by the nazis.
2
Marriage is often the result of love. Why would they be mad at you?
1
Yugoslavia would disagree, ethnic cleansing destroyed it.
1
The war started in 2014, not in 2021. The war started when Russia took Crimea.
1
@OakInch Wrong. The war started when Russian "little green men" took Crimea.
1
Warsaw was not German land. Krakow was not German land.
1
@coochykilla In your brain it was.
1
Yes, it is a dignity revolution, because Yanukovich was Russia's vassal, he had to be removed from power.
1
Nothing is wrong with a mono-ethnic state. Japan, South and North Korea, Israel, Albania, Slovenia are almost mono-ethnic states. There is problem only when a mono-ethnic state becomes xenophobic, racist.
1
It is about the neonazi unproven idea that Poland was murdering thousands of ethnic Germans before 1939. Thus Germany had to "save" them.
1
Because US propaganda is better than Russian propaganda.
1
@BRANFED Well, at least one reason for this invasion is still unproven. We are yet to find those secret US biolabs in Ukraine.
1
5000? How do you know it was 5000? That number seems fake.
1
Propaganda, such as thousands of ethnic Germans being murdered by Poland or Czechoslovakia before 1939.
1
Because people need to believe something.
1
Seriously?
1
Speaking of propaganda... Were there any secret biolabs found in Ukraine?
1
Well, after what happened in Chechnya, Ukraine, Georgia, Serbia, Iraq, Afghanistan we can say that both the US and Russia are bad.
1
Russian propaganda is about some secret biolabs in Ukraine.
1
Actually there is some truth . Interwar Poland had big Ukrainian and Belarusian minorities in the south and east. Poland even had a war with Ukraine for the territory known as Galicia after WW1.
1
@miracleyang3048 Indeed. Poland became greedy. But that greed was somewhat justified because Poland's neighbors (German empire, Russian empire, Austrian empire) destroyed Poland's independence in the 18th century.
1
@miracleyang3048 Exactly. Polish ambitions were big and the victory in the Soviet-Polish war gave the Poles the confidence to demand more land.
