As for headaches, a friend of mine recommended to me in general for them is to drink water because a headache can indicate dehydration. Considering the (edit) diuretic character of caffeine, I can see water as part of its mitigation, although waiting it out is most of it.

Ah! My favorite way of ingesting coffee! Chocolate covered espresso beans!

@BrayanDaGlockShootin You can't eliminate all carbs. You need a certain amount for your brain because it works on pure glucose. You have to manage it. Otherwise the body breaks down muscle to get Glucose. And that is a meat - expensive diet. It's easier to eat a whole - grain cracker for the glucose. A normal diet includes 30 g carbs for each meal for women and 45 g carbs for each meal for men. 2 waffles Eggo - sized have about 23 grams carbs. An 8-oz glass of milk could bring that carb level to 30 or a little more.

I like a tea in the morning or most likely, afternoon. I drink it less often, like 2-3 a week, but I try not to do it all the time. My Dad, a coffee freak like my Mom ( a 10-cup carafe a day😳), tried stopping, and he got the withdrawal headache, so he decided never to leave coffee evermore. I try not to drink it past 6:00pm although I have. And there are rare times when a cup would help me settle for the night. I try to go herbal in the evening (having a hot beverage is the big draw for me), and I have a chamomile tea bag on hand should I need it. Also a nice peach tea!

Yes, cells can respond to medical Rx's; that is what we hope they do when we take them. Especially mental health Rx's. The problem that we have with psychoactive medicines is the blood - brain barrier, which bars most medicines from reaching the brain. Ethanol is a notable exception, which is why you have to watch it. This is why such medicines often must be Rx'd in high amounts like 800 and 1,000 milligrams. If the barrier weren't there, we could get away with 1 mg or even micrograms, depending. The blood - brain barrier helps protect us from toxic doses. I'm not sure why ethanol is easiest to cross over, but there are fruits like passion fruit that ferment quickly and thus prevent animals from eating them, or else they'd get really drunk from them. (I'd like to know the survival value of this.)

@staceyhawthorne8194 "Depending on the size of the cup... " The serving is a cup or 8 fluid ounces. A coffee machine carafe often holds 10-12 8-oz cups.

@staceyhawthorne8194 You're right. I was wrong:

@staceyhawthorne8194 I thought it was 8 ounces because many beverage servings are 8 fl. oz. It's 6 fl. oz.

@UmmAdam9 Yeah. I forgot. Thanks. That's what I get from using my Latin and Greek roots wrong. I was thinking of how water goes through you quickly.
