  4. That's not even remotely true. Before the war the number one tourist destination for russians was Ukraine, then Turkey, then Poland. Before Covid roughly 24 million russians traveled each year.

Do you really think russia can get by without the free world? Naive. Russia & the EU agreed to dollars and euros. Russia can't just change the terms mid agreement and expect compliance. That's not how contracts work. Besides dollars and euros are the most accepted currency around the glode.

If russia didn't want the inconvenience they shouldn't have broke their 1994 agreement and invaded a country they had a defence alliance with. CSTO is already falling apart as is BRICS. Khazikstan has signaled they'd like to work more with the west and is remilitarizing. South Africa and Brazil have been distancing themselves from russia. Meanwhile china is struggling with a 0 Covid policy, failing banks, and apartment buildings collapsing every other week. They are a facade like the russkiy mir.

The papal States had a lot of authority and nobody wanted to be excommunicated, that would mean open season on your country.
