It will be a rough winter for Europe but a devastating summer for russia. Perun did a great video on the sanctions 6 months in.

@Pedgo1986 6 German LNG terminals are planned to open between late October and early December. Germany has been planning tbe break since 2020. The war just hastened the transition. Lithuania already opened their new lng terminal. OPEC in increasing production as well as Canada, USA, Norway, and Australia. It will be a bumpy winter but Europe will be fine. Meanwhile russia will be left in the 80s.

@ЯБезымянный-о5ф well it's compensation for the 500+ airplanes and many other assets russia stole in February and March.

It allowes people like Poland to sell and ship through their pipeline. Other countries like Poland won't sell if some of the profits go to russia.

Peurn made a pretty good video on the russian economy. It will be a rough winter for Europe, but a deviating summer for russia. They are already in stagflation and on their way to a great recession.

@kennethbryan3738 russian oil and gas production is west of the Ural mountains. Pipelines carry their supply west to Europe. russia hardly has the infrastructure to sell in any meaningful volume to india and China. The Ural mountains and longer distance add expensive challenges It takes about 35-40 days for russian gas to enter India. It only takes 1 or 2 days to send to Europe. russia will need a massive development project to move the energy east. Unfortunately for russia, they don't manufacture the turbines and other equipment necessary to move the energy east.

@costanalexandru5120 russia built most of their infrastructure for oil and gas around 2005 -2011. In the 90s their infrastructure was old and mostly in disrepair.

@raziismail8230 NATO has never invaded anyone. The NATO alliance has never been to war. Idk who you mean, but russia has been in 14 wars since 1991. They have seen almost 2 years of peace in 31 years.
3
Dan Walker it won't be until next winter we see production make a meaningful upturn. The increased volume in the market should bring prices back down to normal levels. Germany is one of the largest economis on the planet. They can manage with some help from friends and allies.

@natedogg890 Canada has already increased oil production by almost 2,000 barrels a day. It's for the European market. Idk about LNG. I hear Canada is building a gas extraction and LNG terminal in New Brunswick or Newfoundland for Germany. Sholtz and Treudo said something about it during his visit last month.
1
They will be fine by next year. 6 LNG terminals become operational around late October to early December. Many nations have pledged to increase production. russia on the other hand is on it's way to a full blown great depression.

@lexluong8155 I'll be fine. you russian bots should really come up with your own stuff and stop copying the real people. It's quite pathetic really. Try being creative? See i had numbers and facts, all you habe is emotions and grief.
1
@limeallens6160 well Canada is building a new gas extraction site on the east coast to help Germany. I support my province and federal government in that initiative. As a token of solidarity i won't be turning on my heat this winter either. I have wooly socks and a sweater.

@ricardomadleno564 ah russia. Bringing friends together with mutual fear and loathing over their imperial aggression.

@dragilxcom4176 are you sure? russian energy extraction is west of the urals. Sending it east is a tremendously expensive development project. Not to mention upkeep Can't imagine china who reduced imports to russia by 50% and cancelled their telecommunications development in russia, is jumping to help russia. China would prefer a russian satalite state. EU obly needs a year or two for transition. Meanwhile russia has no where to go.
1
@dragilxcom4176 that new pipeline is a decade away from finishing. russia is becoming a sad little satalite state of russia. Only able to sell their resources at a discount to nations taking advantage of their situation. The days of russia being able to chealy and quickly send energy to Europe is over. Now they only have lenghy expensive routs to china and india, through mountains. Europe will have a rough winter but prices will equalize next year. Meanwhile russia will be left twisting in the wind facing a great recession.
1
@dragilxcom4176 China reduced exports to russia by 50% and stopped their telecommunications development in russia. China is keeping it's distance letting russia twist in the wind. They already made russia agree to sell gas to china at a $35 for 10 years. They want to take advantage of a weak russia and make them a Chinese satalite. OPEC increased their production by 300,000 barrels in August then reduced it by 100,000 for September. That's still up 200,000 barrels a day. russia has no room to negotiate. They have no capacity to send the European energy to other markets. russia is bent over a barrel and at the mercy of their customers. They are backed into a corner. Europe opens their LNG terminals soon and production of energy is going up in Canada, USA, and Australia. After a year or 2 prices will stabilise.
1
@winkus8586 In August OPEC increased production 300,000 barrels a day. This month they recently reduced production 100,000 barrels a day due to the falling price of Hydrocarbons. Production is still up 200,000 barrels a day from July before US made the OPEC deal.

@LancesArmorStriking only about 360 billion was frozen. It's frozen because russia invaded their neighbor. The U.N is already considering kicking russia out over their wat of colonial expansion. Maybe russia should release the random tourists they arbitrarily arrested, like the female athlete for having a vape pen.
