It's about time we give the dictator the boot and 2 Scandinavian democracies a defensive allience. Who needs a bloated conscript army difficult to supply and poorly trained? Less is more with the professional standing armies of Sweden and Finland. Not to mention Sweden has a pretty reliable military industrial complex with factories already in the US and Canada.

@wahyuindrasto lol Canada's army is way more technologically advanced then Turkey. Their military industrial complex is highly advanced, ever see a CANSEC show? Armies all over the world go to Canada for advanced equipment. The JTF2 are Legend special forces and NORAD is mostly located in Canada. Check out the LAV 6 it's Canada's design and it's the most armored personal carrier in the world. Thanks to amazing engine design it can haul an insane amount of armor for a personal carrier and still go fast. Ever heard of Excalibur extended range gps guided 155mm shells. Designed by America in partnership with Canadian R&D. Canada even manufacturers the GPS chip. Then there's Turkey with a large bloated conscript army and aging weapons systems.

Out with the dictator and in with 2 of the politically strongest democracies on the planet. Turkey plays both sides all the time they can't be trusted. Kurds just want the right to speak Kurdish without going to jail.
2
@efayazilim Turkey shouldn't even be a NATO member. It's never part of the training missions and they are run by a dictator. One who always games all sides and only looks out for their own self interest.

Let's say we just kick out the dictator and add 2 wonderful democracies.

Andrew h1213 after or before the failed coup coup d'etat? ErDoMan really consolidated his dictatorship after 2016. In 2017 ErDoMan amended the constitution from a parliamentary democracy into a presidential Republic. Removing powers of the elected legislative and giving them to the president. He also amended the constitution to allow him to stay in power unti 2029. He removed legislative over sight powers and got ride of the prime minister all together. He removed almost all powers of the judiciary over the president and added more direct control from the president over who serves in the judiciary. Unlike most democracies with 3 balanced branches of government, in Turkey the President has almost total power over the other 2 branches. This is how Turkey became a full on dictatorship...

@KenanTurkiye just let kurds speak, write, and sing Kurdish publicly and privately. This is the main goal of the PKK if you did that the group would go away. The PKK hasn't even been a violent group since the mid 2000s. Like FARC it's time to make a deal.

Just give Turkey the boot. Out with the dictator in with democracy.

It's almost as if Erdogen is an enemy from within.... Maybe we need to reconsider Turkey and Hungary.
1
@DarkBoy-zd8qz Turkey loves to game all sides and is a true friend of nobody but themselves. Selfish and single minded erdogen.

Time to give a dictator the boot and 2 Democratic leaders a NATO membership.
1
Agreed. People think the armies size makes Turkey important but it's not super well equipped and mostly conscripts and a large portion are older reservists pushing 40. Their army isn't well trained or reliable. They're often left out of NATO excersices, it's time we just cut all the ties with the paper Tiger 📰🐅

@eumghvao3468 1 dictator holding up the will of 31 nations isn't democratic. Erdogen is a selfish dictator. He's probably mad because Sweden blocked a big arms sale to Turkey over their purchase of Russian air defense.

@eumghvao3468 i recall some sanctions. The only one who didn't care was putins American puppet Trumpy

Also Denmark who isn't part of the EU defense pact plus Norway, Iceland, and Greenland.
1
@efayazilim if you actually believe those were fair and honest elections you have been drinking the coolaid.
1
@darkprofile not all of the EU is part of the EU defense pact. Norway and Denmark opt out of the eu defense pact. There's also Iceland and Greenland. The Boris Johnson made assurances but there's no official pact signed into law so his support ends when his role as PM does. Sweden and Finland do joint excercises with NATO all the time where as Turkey is often left out of the loop. They should just give Turkey the boot and add 2 much more reliable partners.
