And the USA are using British weapons and have done since WWII. The UK is the largest foreign supplier to the US Military.

@ryanmurphy4834 Calm down Old Son. You actually started an interesting discussion. But you seem to now want to peddle the MURICAAA scenario. Shame really because whether you like it or not the USA would never have existed without the UK settling it and developing it from nothing. The British gave the rebels everything they founded the new USA on: Language, Habeas Corpus, rule of law, judiciary and the Bill of Rights all of which were written by those British rebels into their new Constitution. Yes the USA is bigger and richer. Big deal. But is it better? No I do not think so.

But in my gentle defence I did say "and have done since WWII" But as we are into the 1940s we must then add what we gave (not sold) to the USA in late 1940 and 1941: Jet Engines, Nuclear Fission, Proximity Fuses and advanced Sonar. And of course the greatest gift of all: The Cavity Magnetron which made smaller and more accurate radar systems for aircraft and ships possible.
