  1. Famed stunt pilot Bob Hoover once wrote about flying a captured CR42 while stationed in Italy. He really enjoyed the handling of the obsolete biplane. I'll bet he would have loved the DB variant. It certainly appears as though it could have given the early Wildcats and Hurricanes a run for their money. It would have beaten a Gladiator in performance.
