19:40 It can work against your own side's morale too. I once met a Col West who had been part of the D-Day invasion of Normandy as a Tanker and he described how in the first contact with the much ridiculed German tanks they were utterly dismayed to find that the Panzers were much harder to destroy than they had been led to expect. In fact, he said, you could, practically, only destroy them from behind. If they were facing you, they were far more likely to destroy you than vice versa.

1:12:39 The Russian economy sounds as though in some respects it resembles the British economy post WW2 until the late 50s(?). I am not sure, Alexander can probably correct me if I am wrong, but I have the impression that the NEP was abandoned because Lenin felt that some capitalists were getting too rich and too politically powerful. This is something that the Chinese have guarded against, not only recently but also historically. I understand that the Emperors were in the habit of inventing new taxes for entrepreneurs that they felt were getting too rich and acquiring too much political clout/ambition.

@Sammyli99 I did not know that, but I did read that the tanks that the US supplied to Russia, (8000 of them IIRC) were so easy to destroy that The Russians used them only to train people to operate a tank.
