  13.  @dimdim3490  English is spoken all over the world because of our influences over centuries, it is also the universal language for aviation etc people were speaking English before the USA even existed and it was not so long ago that the USA actually officially adopted English as one of their standard languages. Russian was also spoken before the USA existed, they even had the high art of the Bolshoi ballet in Russia in 1774 before the USA existed. Current English is indeed made up of other sources, but other languages also take English words and use them, that is human nature, education, development and common usage.
