Rewarding failure seems to be part of the woke agenda, even kids at school are rewarded for failing, so nobody learns how to fail, lose and learn from it, some of the biggest lessons in life come from failure, getting up, dusting off and getting on with what you are supposed to be doing and do it right. Those lesson are vital, or they end up losing all their lives and never gain the ability to really progress and shine. Adrian Warburton one of our finest ever Photo Recce pilots and superb airman, at the start of his flying career was very bad, then he flew the Martin Maryland, a bomber, and it all clicked for him, he got better and better, shot down 5 enemy planes using his bomber as a fighter, and became a supreme PR pilot and extremely brave airman. He was probably the best PR pilot we ever had. He learned from losing and failure, to becoming an ace in every sense of the word. May he RIP and my salute to a superb airman.
