How could you teach "Media Studies" in a country with such a corrupt media that even John Cleese packed his bags and left?

@jiminagym4569 : Don't be so naive; Bannon is a tool of the global plutocrats. He is being sent by his masters (e.g. Mercer, Koch) into unstable political countries to take advantage of that instability and push that country to the extreme right (fascism). The plutocrats understand they can't push their own country fascist when freedom exists elsewhere; they now need to globalize totalitarianism. When the plutocrats have spent forty years pushing Neoliberalism, austerity, and in doing so creating an accelerating wealth and income gap that infuriates so many; it is easy to then push the gullible to the right using emotionally manipulative tools like "Nationalism" and "Patriotism". Bannon uses anything that stimulates the emotions of the rubes and switches off any residual intellect and the ability to critically analyze. Bannon just plays on the emotions of rubes and uses their anger, ignorance, and stupidity against them; and in doing so, pushes them into the ideology of those who actually created their problems. This same strategy has been used many times in history to redirect anger away from the plutocrats and onto those who are actually fighting the oppression. You have to admire the levels of treachery and cunning of the plutocrats; they put anything else in nature to shame. If you want to understand this global network further, may I suggest you start with researching the "Atlas Network"; and to understand this strategy within the US, maybe read Nancy MacLean's, "Democracy in Chains: The Deep History of the Radical Right's Stealth Plan for America".

@jiminagym4569 : Who understands the motivations of Bannon or knows whether Bannon is racist or not; only Bannon. But isn't that interesting that you appreciate Bannon moving to a "majority-black country" to prove that he isn't racist. As for the Left being a cult, you have to define which "Left". Is it the Classical Liberal "Left" of Wall Street; is it the Embedded Liberal "Left" that encompasses many of the Progressives. Is it the Military Industrial and Intelligence Complex "Left" like Hartmann and Maddow who pushes fake Identity Politics to manipulate the rubes to keep the plutocrats in power while promoting US Imperialism. And there is even more facets to the "Left" if you care to look, so you will have to be more specific.

@jiminagym4569 Bannon didn't move from where where? In fact it doesn't matter what Bannon said; the only thing that matters is his actions. But as for Bannon himself, he is just another Austrian-Libertarian (Neoliberal) fascist Liar and Deceiver dedicated to the interests of his masters. As for Cleese, he just said he was disgusted with British media corruption and that's the reason he left Britain.
