Far from it, without nukes Russian conventional armed forces is a regional power at best, if nukes disappeared tonight, nobody had them, Putin would be making his escape plans tomorrow.

@Surgeeon Russia has less force projection across oceans than my country the UK, just to put things in perspective the UK has just taken delivery of some of latest Apache attack helicopters, I believe we have around 80 now, Russia has comparable numbers of attack helicopters and not as advanced, American has around 800 on its own, Russia doesn't have enough force projection to beat the UK fighting abroad, never mind the US or NATO, they do however have significant numbers of Trolls they pay to spam comment sections on social media.

@danielxbox28 Huge Tank force? having thousands of old Tanks without near peer technology and expert tank crews to operate them is not serious, look what well trained British and American Tank crews did to Iraq, twice, they were popping Iraqi Tanks off like it was range time, how many Tanks does Russia have with near peer technology and crews that train every week of the year? We could easily say America has 50000 Tanks and 10000 fighter jets and other nonsense if we're going to add in all the mothballed hardware sitting in the desert, have a look at the 'Boneyard' in America, Russia counts such hardware as part of its armed forces.
